What is TestDAF?
TestDAF – German as a Foreign Language – is an international language exam. It is suitable for all those who already have a good command of German and wish to prove their language skills (e.g., to enroll in a German university)..
The exam is taken at the TestDAF Institute in Bochum, Germany, where it will also be graded. All exam participants will complete the same exercises anywhere in the world.
The Deutsch Schule in Málaga is an accredited center for administering TestDAF exams on our premises.
We also provide exam preparation in our German courses or in private lessons.
TestDAF accreditation is valid for an unlimited period. The translation of the different TestDAF levels into those indicated by the Common European Framework of Reference for Europe (CEFR) also enables them to be valid in your country of origin for: studying in Germany, pursuing academic careers in your country of origin, and for scientific exchanges.

The TestDAF Exam
Since TestDAF is an exam that qualifies you for university studies in Germany, all exam tasks, audios, and texts, are related to science and research topics, everyday life at German universities, or student life in Germany. The tests may relate to specific areas; however, you, as the exam participant, do not need specialized knowledge to solve the exercises.
The structure of a TestDAF is always the same. It begins with the first part of the exam, «reading comprehension», followed by the second part, «listening comprehension». There is then a short break, followed by the final two parts, «writing» and «speaking».
All tests are taken on a computer. In the "speaking" part, you listen through a speaker or headphones and answer through a microphone. Your answers will be recorded. This means that no conversation takes place with an examiner.
